What we collect

When you visit the website. Our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the website secure: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of each request.

When you email us. We receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message and anything you attach. We use them to read and answer your message and to keep a record of our correspondence.

The website has no forms, accounts or newsletter, and we collect no other personal data through it. You don’t have to give us any personal data to use the website. If you write to us, we need your email address to reply.

Cookies and tracking

The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Its fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn’t send your data to anyone else. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it has to check that traffic isn’t automated, for example during an attack.

Why we use it

We process personal data on these legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Running and securing the website: our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Answering your messages: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)), or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • Meeting legal obligations: for example, keeping business records or answering lawful requests from public authorities (Article 6(1)(c)).

We don’t profile visitors or make decisions about anyone based solely on automated processing.

Who receives it

We don’t sell or rent personal data. Service providers process it on our behalf and on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
  • Google provides our business email through Google Workspace.

We may also share personal data with our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by confidentiality, and with public authorities when the law requires it.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. When they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Our hosting provider keeps technical request data only as long as it needs to deliver and secure the website, under its own retention policies. We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your message and any follow-up, and longer only where the law requires us to keep business records. Then we delete them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is inaccurate;
  • delete it;
  • restrict how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interest;
  • send it to you, or to another organisation, in a portable format.

To make a request, email andrei@astraq.ventures. We will reply within one month. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

Children

The website isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
